I never said that my opinion is the only one that matters, but in this case we are dealing with facts.
Fact #1: They have never won anything
Fact #2: They are rarely if ever a factor in the state tournament
Fact #3: When they get to state, they have a record compiled by beating average to below average teams
I'm sorry that the FACTS are painful, but that's the way it is. The only thing that would make it more predictable was if Andes Central was West River. Then it would be even more expected. |
Do you even have a clue? Andes Central has a good volleyball program, and have had sustained success for quite a while. No, they haven't made it to state since 2003, but in the last 10 years, they've made it to state 8 times, and made it to the state title game twice. And their region typically had some pretty good competition, too. I'd say that's pretty good. The "We're Back" comment was referring to their success in the past. They honestly shouldn't have done well at state with what they had, considering their team was led by a freshman, but I'm sure they will make better appearances in the coming years.

Lack of facts? Not one thing that I said was false. Go ahead and laugh but not one thing that I said was false.
FACT: They have NEVER won anything and never will. I suppose if Warner or NW doesn't make it one of these years, then maybe they will have a chance.
Their region had good competition? In your eyes only. They are playing for the right to make it to state and get beat by Warner, NW, or Arlington and the occasional Philip team. Andes Central doesn't scare anybody. I'm not trying to be mean to the Andes girls, but let's be honest. They have never won and their path to state is pretty easy. If they had to go through Region 1, they wouldn't even get to state. Saying we're back is just plain dumb when you haven't won anything and don't scare anybody. Saying we're back mean you are just there as an also-ran and a victim of Warner or Arlington somewhere along the line. |
Once again, you really don't think much of it. I was referring to their competition at the peak of their success, in which they were in two state championship games and finished 3rd another year. There have been state championship teams that come out of that region, and many others that have been among the top ranked teams in the polls. This year, they had a weak region, there is no denying that. The volleyball in that region was not terribly strong.
If they have been a "non-factor", I highly doubt they would've been able to be in two state championships and place high in other years. Just sayin'. Most teams would love to have that kind of success.
There is volleyball outside of Warner and Arlington, jigs. There were 6 other teams there, after all. |
