Back in my day, Aberdeen Central was known as the "jungle"! I remember the old Civic Arena being packed and the crowd right on top of you. I can guarantee their was a little attitude on display back then too. Rivalries between Aberdeen, Huron, Pierre got nasty and now that the Norberg brothers coach against each other, I'm sure the stakes are high for those games too. I'm not offended with kids giving a little attitude. Competitive kids talk smack to each other all the time on the court (or field), some are just more discreet about it than others. As long as no attitude is given to the coaches, it's all part of the game.

I don't have any kids in high school sports. Don't try to dismiss my observation with an incorrect assumption.

I don't either (have anyone playing). Anyone who doesn't see attitudes running wild on this team is blind, deaf or both. Are they good? Yes. Are they as good as their attitudes reflect? No! Nobody is that good, and honestly nobody should be allowed to act the way a couple of those kids act on or off the floor. Norberg has his hands full this season. They may be able to come together as a team and be good by the end of the season, and they will need to in order to compete with a couple of teams out there. Like a couple posts ahead of this said, "They have bullseyes on their backs" and they've earned them in more ways than just by being good at an early age.

When will Pierre and Mitchell meet up? Someones gotta win right? Too bad they only play each other twice this year.

Pierre does have one win under their belt against a decent Yankton team. Granted it was early in the season.... Pierre/Mitchell match-up, my bet goes to Pierre. I really like Zabel's game. Too bad the surrounding cast aren't very good.

Watched Harrisburg vs Abdn Central. Harrisburg's guards are good! Having more than one good guard should really help them come postseason.

I agree! Not only are Harrisburg's guards quick and play tough defense, they can shoot too. I think the team shot close to 60% percent that game. They keep playing this tough, they will be definite contenders for a state title!

Aberdeen didn't play as well this game. I thought they played well against both Rapid City schools, just didn't make enough plays down the stretch. The switch defense they are playing is leaving lots of guys wide open and they are getting beat if their opponents are hitting their outside shots. Hopefully, they can figure things out in the home stretch.
