BV in a close one for a trip to the dome.
Washington hands it to Roosie.
Another BV/SFW dome match-up.

Re: 11AAA

I watched the BV/SFW game on Friday. Much like last year, SFW had BV's number. The Lynx settled down and got their act together in the second half. They were able to sustain drives running the ball and did a decent job on defense. And I'm thinking the same thing as last year, I hope they play in the...

11AAA

Anybody still care about 11AAA? I would love to read some updates or thought on games.

Re: Region Track Meets

AA makes changes next year. Gone are the provisional and automatic qualifiers and in comes the top 24. I think it is a great step, but to really make a difference, there should be no limit to the number of competitors for each event from each school. Watertown has this happen almost every year where...

Eric Piatkowski
Mike Miller
Eric Kline
Troy Schaeffer
One of the super tall guys can fill out my top 5. I watched a few when I was REALLY little, but I didn't watch their game so much as sit in awe of their size.

Re: Most anticipated events at 2018 State Meet

Will Elizabeth Schaffer take her 110m hurdle back from the RCC girl that beat her last year?

Re: AA Region/State

I'll take Aberdeen, but not confidently. There are several teams that could hoist the trophy. It should be a great tourney.

Re: Practice options when school is closed (weather)

It’s not a practice, it’s an open gym. Whether you want to believe it or not, (and it would seem by the tenor of your text, you don’t) There is a difference. I know, I know, it’s just not fair and someone always has an unfair advantage over you and yours... An open gym being supervised by a distric...

Re: Practice options when school is closed (weather)

And the kid that lives in the country feels he will lose playing time if he is not at the practice that all of the other kids are at decides to white knuckle it to town. Great policy.[/quote] Don't kid yourself. This time of the year a kid isn't going to get less minutes if he's been getting minutes...

Re: Practice options when school is closed (weather)

BV also has no open gyms...absolutely nothing. If a kid gets in a car accident and is killed going to a practice or an "open gym" when the school already determined that is is too dangerous for kids to be on the road there would be hell to pay. A lawyer would take the "open gym" nonsense apart. Any...

Re: Practice options when school is closed (weather)

BV has a no practice policy if school is cancelled or let out early. This weather event doesn't affect much, but if a coach were to have practice...there would be some serious consequences.

Re: It’s never over until it’s over.

So 2 seasons myself and a few friends went to Madison, WI to watch the badgers and Cornhuskers play. We spent the night in LaCrosse, which if you haven't been there-go there. Tons of fun. Anyway, it was Halloween and all of the college kids were dressed up. A guy walked by our table and we called hi...

Re: 2017-18 Girls' Season Forecast

I am doing the very thing I can and what I have every right to. I am giving my opinion. This is a message board after all. Yet I'm directed not to respond? Hmmm..... Belle Fourche looked solid last week, and remains undefeated along with Vermillion, West Central, STM, Crow Creek, and McCook. Dell R...

Re: 2017-2018 AA Scores

Opening weekend observations: 1) Huron is better than expected. Looks like they have some pieces to compliment Busch. 2) RC Stevens is better than expected. They are fairly balanced and have some nice returning athletes. 3) Not buying the hype on Aberdeen just yet. 4) SF Lincoln may be the team to ...

Re: 2017-18 Girls' Season Forecast

Ring the Bells....... I used to like you. As the parent of two special needs kids and the legal guardian of a severely special needs kid, I am offended at your insinuation that the private schools stick up their noses at them. Some of the most kind, compassionate, giving, caring people I know who r...

Re: 2017-18 Girls' Season Forecast

I never said STM did anything underhanded, nor did I mention recruiting. I could care less about recruiting. Build a program and they will come. I don't like when private schools make a big deal about being smaller than an opponent. There is a reason you are smaller, it's a choice. You have chosen t...

Re: 2017-18 Girls' Season Forecast

You are at 275 because you choose to be at 275. Don't make it seem like you are making do with what you were given. Those are the 275 you allowed to enter your building. You kick the snot out of other schools of 275, keep in mind the other schools' 275 include kids with special needs and whatever th...
