Track

Postby Lincoln Parent » March 13th, 2012, 4:26 pm

Need a thread for track signings.

From Lincoln:

Chris Harner is going to Augie to long jump and triple jump. Chris won the AA long jump and finished 2nd in the triple jump last year at the state meet.

Allie Lahren is going to NDSU. Allie was 3rd in the long jump and 4th in the triple jump at the state meet last year.

Gage Blaschke is going to Mount Marty (also running cross country). Gage finished 28th this past fall in the AA cross country meet.

Still waiting to see on Gemechu Godi, Nick Goeman and some others possibly.

I asked around about Alex and someone sent me this.

Alex selected Arizona Central one of the top JUCOs nationally in track and field.

Cam Holmes of BV will be running at Nebraska.

I've heard that Brennan Witt of Custer, defending state champion in the class A 800, 1600, and medley relay, has committed to NDSU. If true, a nice pick-up for the Bison and continues the flow of South Dakota mid-distance runners to NDSU. Brennan is 3rd on the top 10 list for the 800.

Tayler Anderson from Madison has signed with USD to run with fellow MHS alumni Chris Nielson. Should be interesting to see what he'll do this year and at the collegiate level!

Good for Tayler! Him and Chris should have great time running together at USD! This last year for Tayler should be a good one for him! Defending Champion in long jump and 7th in the 100 last year with a hurt hamstring!

Wow, props to Cortney for making the decision she felt was best for her and not going D1 just because the option was there. Very mature decision.
