I haven't heard that anyone else on the Pentagon National team has committed. I saw on Twitter yesterday that Gus Reede got offered by Augustana, so other memeber of the team may still have offers coming their way too. Cole Bergan has received 2 D1 offers within the last couple of weeks too. One from Lehigh and the other from Lamar University.

Wow, Augie is killing it in-state. Should be a good fit for Hanson.

Lincoln Jordre of Sully Buttes will be playing for the Wolves in Aberdeen. I also heard that Chase Altenburg of Harrisburg has received offers from Dakota state and Mount Marty. This 2018 class is shaping up to be a good reqruiting class!!

Seems like quite a haul for the Vikes so far. I've heard/read pretty much nothing but good things about all of these guys over the past year or so. I assumed Plitzuweit was gone to NDSU when I saw he had the D1 offer, but I'm certainly excited to see him in blue and gold instead of green and gold. That makes two 2018s for Augie that had D1 offers, and even though LeBrun may not have officially had any D1 offers, from what I've read about him, I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least getting some solid interest.

Seems like a fantastic 2018 class for the Vikings. Can't wait to see what happens by the time these guys hit their junior and senior years.

The 1963 SDSU National D2 championship drove their i-state recruiting success for decades. Now that Augie has joined them.......

I saw on Twitter that he turned down 6 division 1 scholarships too!? That being said, I think Northern got a steal. Wolves have also secured Jordre and Reede. Good for them in getting the good local talent!

Agreed that Northern signing Bergan is very good for them ..... picking up a player who generated LOTS of D1 interest!
SDSU signing class of 2018 includes verbals from: Aaron Fiegen - Madison; Matt Mims, PG, from Cedar Rapids; Owen King, SG, from Caledonia. Jackrabbits have one open scholarship in this class now that Bergan is headed for Northern. David Wingett from Winnebago Nebraska is still on the SDSU offer list. Wingett tore up the LNI last year.

NSU already with some of the best attendance in D2 basketball, now with Reede and Bergan that place will be rockin! Really surprised at the Bergan signing right away, but some kids like being around home. Good pick up for the wolves. Is there any other top ball players in this great state that haven't signed yet or was Bergan the last one?

Should be some fun battles between Augie and Northern in the upcoming years with so much in-state talent sticking around. Bergan is an excellent commitment for the Wolves (and their other in-state commits are solid too), but I'm still liking what the Vikes bring in for 2018 with Plitzuweit, LeBrun, Trevor Hanson and a couple of pretty strongly-recruited Minnesota kids. It'll be interesting to see how the programs look 3-4 years from now when these guys are upperclassmen.

Augustana definitely has the upper hand over Northern in this recruiting class.

Has anyone heard about Mason Larson committing anywhere? Or maybe he's looking at another sport?

For those interested, here's today's Augie story on the 2018 recruiting class signings. Three SD kids signed today (AJ Plitzuweit of Vermillion, Trevor Hanson of Sioux Valley, and Dylan LeBrun of Flandreau) along with two Minnesota kids.

http://goaugie.com/news/2017/11/8/mens- ... g-day.aspx

Really excited for this class. There's a chance this could be a pretty special group for the Vikes in the future. Seems more and more high-level talent is developing here in SD the past few years. If the Vikes can keep snagging some of those top-of-the-class kids, the program should have a bright future.

Anyone know why Bergen hasn't signed his LNI at Northern? Is he waiting for a better offer?

Bergan must had de-committed. He still had the Twitter post which announced his verbal to Northern pinned on his feed about two weeks ago. I see that post has been deleted.
